A year to review…2023!
Hello, all you good people. I hope wherever this finds you, it is in a good place. I'm feeling incredibly grateful to be home with my family gathered near, the dogs wrestling around and my soul filled with ghost notes from the past year. We made our way with the hit parade from Santa Barbara to West Texas to Austin to Lutson and a whole lot of Minneapolis in between. You showed up, supported, danced, whooped, and hollered. We shared tears and stories, and we were able to share this infinite gift of music … together!
THANK YOU, truly. So, what's behind that door for 2024?
The Good Life
My new jazz record on Shifting Paradigm Records. I was able to record with some of the Twin Cities most excellent performers who brought so much care to these songs that I love and wanted to explore more deeply.
"Tina Schlieske’s The Good Life breathes fresh air into classic jazz, offering a contemporary reinterpretation of timeless standards by luminaries like Billie Holiday and Nina Simone. From the sultry melancholy of “Don’t Explain” to the playful allure of “Witchcraft,” each track paints a vivid sonic canvas, captivating listeners with its emotive resonance and poignant arrangements. The Good Life is a nod to the lasting allure of jazz, ushering in a new era yet paying homage to its timeless roots."
The album will be released in February 2024 but you can pre-order it now HERE! With this new record coming out I need some time on my feet performing these songs…so here's where you come in…
Do You Want to Host a House Concert This Year?
I'm going to open up my touring schedule for a limited run of house concerts this year. House shows are the glue that holds touring musicians' livelihoods together at the seams. If you have a house/yard/barn/patio/rooftop where 30 to 130 folks can gather, you can host a house concert!
We are currently accepting submissions for house/outdoor shows, and we will consider any offer from enthusiastic hosts, from house show veterans to first-timers. No space or audience size is too small for consideration - it doesn't take a ton of wood to light a fire! Feel free to reach out directly and find more info at this link HERE.
Let's see what we can do together.
Well, that's about it…I hope that next year we all find peace, continue to support, see our true selves, and be all of our true selves while we enjoy “The Good Life”. See you in 2024…t
MERCH ALERT!!
